The Practice of Perception

Dear Human,

I’m taking the rest of this beautiful day off of the Internet.

I’m going to go outside and walk upon this mesmerizing and amazing blue dot called Earth. I’m going to ponder how it is in outer space, which means I too am in outer space. And I am going to try to really wrap my head around the fact that it, along with us, is zipping at 67,000 MPH, taking one full year to complete a cycle around our sun. Wow.

I’m going to remember all the beauty, all the struggles, all the wonder, all the suffering and all the accomplishments that I have been blessed with during the last 365 days.

I’m going to be aware that I have been giving the gift of being a part of the amazing, rare and noble human race.

And I will humbly bow my head before the universe and simply acknowledge the miracle of existence.

May you find time to do something similar.

Love,
Sheri
