LIFE IS NOT A COMPETITION

Dear Human,

The reality is we are all okay. You, me and the rest of this seemingly messed up world are deep down inside just fine.

I know that sometime, if not often, it doesn’t feel like it, but feelings don’t always reflect truth. I also know that what you see and experience doesn’t support what I am writing, but seeing isn’t always accurate either. Every negative behavior you see in humanity is a behavior not an essence. You are not seeing the spirit of the person, but rather the personality of a conditioned mind in action. A mind that doesn’t remember who it originally was upon entrance to this earth.

Hate, cruelty, violence, prejudice, sexism and discrimination are all symptoms of thoughts gone astray.

We must learn to lay down our pretenses and the lies we believe about our self and others. And sometimes the lie is that we don’t need each other. And other times it is that we need to prove something in order to be important to each other.

But the truth is that you don’t need to compare yourselves to another human in order to find personal worth, meaning and value. You are already important. The authentic and genuine you is enough.

Life is not a competition. It’s supposed to be a time of collaboration. A unique experience of existing with one another in such a way that you bring out the light in those that surround you … and that you allow them to bring out that very same light in you.

Look inside my beloveds and marvel at your own unfathomable existence. You are here. And that makes you so much more than noteworthy. That makes you pure, intoxicating, miraculous and priceless.

Do you really need more than that?

Love,
Sheri

  1. My reality is my reality and yours is yours. Yet we both exist in the same reality. Inspiring words as always.
