THE WOUND AND THE WOUNDED

“We are all a
little broken,
a little wounded.
To some degree
we must all
reparent ourselves.
The challenge isn’t
the healing,
the challenge
is acknowledging the wounds.
Once you do,
change will
naturally take place.” – Sheri S Bessi

Dear Human,
You are the awareness, the witness, the center of your intentions. You are not the wound. But the wound speaks loudly, all the time. And because it does, you mistakenly believe it to be you. You are tethered to the traumas, but your are not them.

You are the one who witnesses the objects. The one who can step back and observe the injuries. You need not experience the world through the gashes of jealousy, envy, fear, dislike, pain, worry, disappointment or even discomfort.

You are the awareness of these bruises, these contusions, these tragically painful cuts. And you have let the object … steer the witness. You have let them drive you. By allowing the wounds to seek their own solutions, their own motions that will help avoid the associated pain again, you have subjected your soul to the constant nagging of the personality that developed from the wounds.

But once you take back the seat of consciousness you can truly bring closure, a mending to the lingering bruises that are there upon your spirit. You can get rid of the disturbances to your innate, unique, and positively divine being.

Imagine beautiful you, how wonderful it is to not have to bring these wounds with you everywhere you go.

Observing them, seeing them, witnessing them, this is what will allow you to wash them and cleanse them. Then they will heal and disappear, and you can live a peaceful and meaningful existence. One that is most assuredly spirit led.

Love,
Your Fellow Traveler,
Sheri
